The draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) on Eightmile Lake has been delayed until late spring.
The state Department of Ecology's Office of Columbia River told a recent Icicle steering committee meeting that, because it is short-handed, release of the draft EIS has been pushed back to late spring.
Initially, the DEIS was expected this past October, with a final decision by next March. If Ecology allows the same amount of time as before for public meetings, comments, and reviews, now the earliest it could make a final decision would be October 2022.
